The Noble Experiment

The Noble Experiment Week 1
Middle & High School Students
Wednesday, February 5th
6:30 – 8:30

BOTTOM LINE: Integrity does what’s right.

SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 11:3

GOAL OF SMALL GROUP: To encourage students to recognize what integrity looks like and to point them toward the value in choosing God’s way.

THINK ABOUT THIS: This series encourages students to choose integrity in their lives. For our purposes, integrity is about being authentically who you are and operating with good character as you do. It means people can know and trust the whole, real you. While middle & high schoolers may struggle to understand what integrity means for themselves, they’ll know it when they see it in others. Using examples or sharing stories can help them grasp what integrity looks like in others before they see it in themselves. Your goal this week is to help students understand what integrity is and understand how it applies to their lives.

TRY THIS: Ask the students in your Small Group for a schedule for any upcoming events they have going on, like a sporting event, a game, a school play, a competition, or a concert. It’s a great opportunity for you and the other students in your group to show up and support each other. Try to attend one event for each student if you can!

Just for fun…
If you could make one rule for the world to follow, what would it be?

Ask the group to answer and discuss…
1 What’s one decision you made today that seemed really easy?
2 What’s a decision you’ve made recently that you felt was important? How did you make that decision?
3 When you make decisions, who or what usually influences your choice the most? (Friends, parents, people online, etc.?)
4 Do you think making decisions gets harder as you get older? Why or why not?
5 In your own words, how would you define integrity?
6 Do you think integrity is important? Why or why not?
7 Read Proverbs 11:3. What does the Bible say about integrity?
8 What’s one way this week you can show integrity…
    a. At school?
    b. At home?
    c. With your friends?
    d. On social media?

Bottom Line… Integrity does what’s right.
